Book review: Harold James on the Bank of England
In a new book on the Bank of England, Professor Harold James of Princeton University has set out to explore a formative two decades in the Bank’s recent history, the 1980s and 1990s, and has done so mainly by considering the actions, intentions and limitations of the leading characters of the time.
