The Outlook for Central Banking in 2015

For the last 6 years, central banking has been dominated by Unconventional Monetary Policy, Quantitative Easing, near-zero interest rates and greatly expanded central bank balance sheets. In 2015, this may be about to change, as both the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England seek to move to a less accommodative stance. In Japan and the Eurozone, however, the monetary policy stance remains very accommodative.

As we enter 2015, the pressures on central banks remain considerable and do not look to be about to diminish.
